One businessman arrested with two motorcycles
Koshi Zone, Saharsa. Based on the secret information received by the team of Sadar police station and district intelligence unit, Saharsa police has recovered a large amount of illegal foreign liquor from a white Bolero pickup near the railway line located in Hakpada Mohalla of Sadar police station area. Seeing the police, a liquor businessman managed to escape. But the police chased and arrested a liquor businessman Sanjeet Kumar, son of Ramvilas Yadav, resident of Gobar Gaddha village, Ward No. 2 of Sadar police station area. After which the pickup was investigated, a total of 841.650 liters of English liquor was recovered from the pickup.
While organizing a press conference in Sadar police station on Sunday, Cyber Police Station President Ajit Kumar said that on the secret information, the team of Sadar police station and district intelligence unit took immediate action and seized a white pickup near Hakpada railway line. Two persons sitting in a Bolero pickup started running after seeing the police vehicle. One of them was caught on suspicion with the help of armed force. While one managed to escape. When the pickup was searched, a total of 553.680 liters of foreign liquor was recovered from 62 cartons loaded in it. On questioning the arrested person, he told that foreign liquor is also kept in a semi-constructed house to the west of the railway line. Then a raid was conducted on his information. From where a total of 19 cartons of foreign liquor were recovered. Whose total quantity was 259.560 liters. Also, a total of 21 bottles from a white colored bottle whose quantity was 28.510 liters were also seized. In this way a total of 841.650 liters of foreign liquor has been recovered.
He further told that a Bullet and a Splendor motorcycle have also been recovered from the spot. For which Sadar police station case number 763/24 has been registered. Raids are being conducted to arrest the absconding person.
