A miscreant arrested from Diara with arms and live cartridges

Chidaiya police station arrested him while planning a crime near Raithi bridge

Koshi Zone, Saharsa. On the basis of secret information, Chiraiya police arrested a miscreant planning a crime near Raithi bridge under Chiraiya police station of Simri Bakhtiyarpur police circle area with arms and bullets. On Monday, SDPO Mukesh Kumar Thakur organized a press conference and shared information regarding the arrest. SDPO said that on Sunday evening, information was received that a miscreant was planning to carry out a major incident near Raithi bridge in the police station area. During this, the station in-charge verified the information and when he reached the said place with the police present in the police station, the miscreant started running fast after seeing the police. Meanwhile, the fleeing miscreant was caught with the help of the police force present there. After which the miscreant was searched, a pistol and a bullet were recovered from him. When the police interrogated the miscreant, he told his name as Santosh Kumar, son of Hulan Mahato, resident of Kabira village of the police station area.  He said that further action is being taken by registering a case against the arrested miscreant under Arms Act.
