Koshi Zone, Saharsa.Brave criminal Sambhu Yadav, who had escaped from police custody after being caught by them, was arrested by Saharsa police. Two months ago, a criminal with a reward of Rs 1 lakh on his head, Shambhu Yadav, who was absconding from police custody, was arrested by Saharsa police. He was absconding for the last several years. Police received secret information about his arrival in Rajanpur. It was learnt that he would disembark from a boat at Bishanpur Ghat under Rajanpur Panchayat of Mahisi block area of the district. Police surrounded and arrested Shambhu Yadav and his associate Lalit Yadav. When they were searched, a loaded country-made pistol was recovered from them. It may be noted that two months ago, Sambhu Yadav had come to attend his nephew's mundan ceremony and niece's wedding. The police had arrested him on the basis of secret information but he escaped from police custody. But after two months, Sambhu was arrested again, regarding which Superintendent of Police Himanshu said in a press conference on Wednesday that secret information was received that Shambhu Yadav, a resident of Mahisi and a criminal with a reward of Rs 1 lakh, along with his accomplice, is planning to commit a crime by getting down from the boat at Bishanpur Ghat in Rajanpur Panchayat.
On receiving the information, a team was formed with Mahisi police station in-charge Amarnath Kumar, SI Sujata Rani, Sunil Kumar, Ashok Kumar Ram and police officers of the district intelligence unit, personnel and constable Amarendra Kumar Singh posted at Mahisi police station. The formed team laid siege at Bishanpur Ghat. After the siege, Shambhu Yadav, son of Rajo Yadav, resident of Rakti village, ward number - 2 of Mahisi police station area and Lalit Yadav, son of late Tarani Yadav, resident of Gajwari village of Kusheshwarsthan police station area of Darbhanga district, as soon as they got down from the boat at Bishanpur Ghat, the police surrounded them from all sides. They tried to run away after seeing the police. But they were chased and caught. On searching, a loaded country-made pistol was recovered from them. In this regard, Mahisi police station case number - 219/24 has been registered. A reward of one lakh has been placed on Shambhu Yadav in Saharsa district. He is included in the top ten criminals. Apart from Saharsa, several cases are registered against him in Darbhanga, Khagaria and Samastipur for many serious cases including murder and Arms Act.
The arrested Shambhu Yadav has a long criminal history. In which Mahisi police station case number 112/18 has been registered for murder and Arms Act. At the same time, in Mahisi police station case number 82/18, he has been charged with murderous attack and Arms Act. A case is registered in case number 132/22 of Kusheshwarsthan (Tilkeshwar OP) police station area of Darbhanga district for murder and Art Act. A case is registered against him in Kusheshwarsthan police station case number 207/22 for murder. A case is also registered against him in Kusheshwarsthan police station case number 416/22 for murder. While in Mahisi police station case number 298/23, he has been charged with murderous attack and Arms Act. In Mahisi police station case number 149/24, he is charged under the Arms Act. In Mahisi police station case number 150/24, Sambhu Yadav had escaped from police custody two months ago and some police personnel were also injured.
