Despite the strictness of the police, the business of illegal liquor and narcotic codeine-containing cough syrup is not decreasing and every day the police and excise department are recovering illegal liquor and narcotic drugs. On Saturday, Cyber ​​DSP Ajit Kumar confirmed the recovery of 260 liters of codeine-containing cough syrup in a press conference. He told that on August 16, at around 09:30, the Sadar police station in-charge received secret information that two persons are carrying a large amount of banned codeine-containing cough syrup in a Nexon car on Bengha bypass road under the police station area, which they are going to deliver to a businessman. On the basis of secret information, the team of Sadar police station and District Intelligence Unit took immediate action and as soon as they reached Bengha bypass road, on seeing the police vehicle, both the youths in the car turned the car and started running away, but were caught by the police team.  When the said car was searched, a total of 260 liters i.e. 2600 pieces of banned cough syrup containing codeine was recovered from it and both the youths were arrested. When the two youths were asked their name and address, one's name was Dilwar Kumar s/o Sachindra Yadav, resident- Majrahat, police station- Singheshwar, district- Madhepura and the other's name was Ajay Kumar s/o Ganesh Prasad Yadav, resident- Belha Ghat, police station and district- Madhepura. Sadar police station case number- 830/24 was registered against both the youths.

Cyber ​​DSP said that a car and two mobiles have also been recovered from the two youths. Both have been sent to judicial custody under the Prohibition Act.
