Camp organized for electricity bill correction

Koshi Zone, Saharsa. A camp was organized for quick disposal of complaints received related to electricity bill correction and smart prepaid meter in all branches under Electricity Supply Division, Saharsa. Consumers reached the organized camp mainly to get electricity bills corrected related to wrong reading, lump sum reading, wrong average, bad meter and other reasons. Executive Electrical Engineer, Saharsa Amit Kumar told that electricity bills of some consumers were corrected on the spot, application forms of those whose bills were not possible to correct on the spot were taken and correction will be done within seven working days. In the said camp, consumers were told while shedding light on the smart prepaid meter that there should not be any confusion regarding smart prepaid meter, smart meter and normal meter both are same. A total of 87 applications were received under Electricity Supply Sub-Division Saharsa Rural and Solar Market, out of which 35 applications have been disposed of at the camp site itself.  Executive Electrical Engineer Saharsa further informed that out of the total 87 applications received, 8 were received from branch Kahra, 14 from Nauhatta, 07 from Mahisi, 3 from Darhara, 10 from Bhelahi and 11 from Bangaon, 7 from Saur Bazar, 01 from Rota, 01 from Sattarkataiya, 19 from Panchgachiya. In the electricity bill correction camp, the meter of the consumer's premises with faulty meter is also being replaced and the interested consumers have also deposited their outstanding amount. All JEs and executive assistants as well as manpower etc. were present in the electricity bill correction camp.
