Dr. Arun Bhagat will get Acharya Ramchandra Shukla Award
Koshi Zone, Saharsa. Dr. Arun Kumar Bhagat, member of Bihar Public Service Commission, will be honored with the All India Acharya Ramchandra Shukla Criticism Award. Dr. Bhagat is originally a resident of Kashnagar village of Sonvarsha Raj block area.This honor of one lakh rupees will be given to him jointly with Dr. Karunashankar Upadhyay by Sahitya Akademi and Madhya Pradesh Cultural Council Bhopal. He has been awarded this award for his book 'Journalism: Creative Writing and Creation Process'. This book was published by National Book Trust New Delhi in the year 2022. Two editions of which have been published so far. This book is included in the curriculum of many universities including Delhi University. A total of 28 books edited and written by Dr. Bhagat related to journalism have been published so far. He was working as Dean and Chairman in the Department of Media Studies at Mahatma Gandhi Central University, Motihari. At present, he is a member nominated by the Governor in BPSC. On receiving this honour, Municipal Corporation Mayor Bainpriya, former National President of Vidyarthi Parishad Ramnaresh Singh, Senior Advocate Bindeshwari Bhagat, BNMU Syndicate Member Prof. Gautam Kumar, Ward Councilor Vinay Thakur, BJP District Vice President Shiv Bhushan Singh, Rajiv Bhagat, Sanjay Vashisht, Jitendra Bhagat and others expressed their happiness and said that this is a matter of pride for Bihar including Kosi region.
