DDC allocated crores of rupees to the beneficiaries under the housing scheme

317 beneficiaries of the district were given Rs 1 crore 26 lakh 80 thousand

Koshi Zone, Saharsa. In the presence of Deputy Development Commissioner Sanjay Kumar Nirala, a ceremony was organized on Sunday and approval letters were distributed to the concerned families after approval of housing against the target achieved in the second phase in the year 2024-25 under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin. In a program organized at the state level, a total of Rs 1 crore 26 lakh 80 thousand was transferred to 317 beneficiaries of Saharsa district as assistance amount of the first installment at the rate of Rs 40 thousand per family. In the ceremony, symbolic keys were given by the Deputy Development Commissioner, Saharsa to the beneficiaries who completed the construction of houses among the beneficiaries approved in the first phase under the financial year 2024-25.  The approved beneficiaries were directed to start housing construction work immediately and after construction is completed up to the prescribed level, receive the second and third installment amount and complete the housing within the prescribed period. In the course of housing construction, all the beneficiaries were informed that they will receive 90 days' wages from MNREGA. On this occasion, Director, DRDA Saharsa, concerned Block Development Officer, all housing workers and beneficiaries were present.
