Gross negligence in the construction of Bengali Bazaar Overbridge - Kishore Kumar

Koshi Zone, Saharsa. Jan Suraj Party's state general secretary Kishore Kumar has made strong allegations of government negligence in the construction of Bengali Bazaar Overbridge in Saharsa. He said that yesterday was the last day of the tender process, but no contractor submitted the tender, due to which this process failed again. He said that "the tender process has failed again and the government tried to make do with the work at the 3-year old rates, whereas a new tender should have been issued." He said that the construction of Bengali Bazaar Overbridge started after the order of Patna High Court. No bid was received till the last date of tender (yesterday), because the government tried to make do with the work at the old rates (extension of 3-year old tender). Kishore Kumar has lodged an objection by meeting the high officials of the government in Patna and said that "this is contempt of the court order." Kishore Kumar said that now a new tender process will start, in which 45 days will be taken for the tender process and 45-90 days for checking the rates.  "This kind of negligence of the government will further delay the work," he said. Kishore Kumar alleged that "the government and public representatives are working at the behest of some capitalists. The construction of this bridge was stopped for decades." He said that "we raised this matter in the court with the signatures of 2 lakh people, only then the work started." Kishore Kumar has demanded from the government that: A new tender should be issued immediately (by revising the rate). The work should be completed quickly by following the court order. The public should not have to suffer for a long time.
